From the northern most reaches of Alaska’s Kodiak Island, through Hecate Strait, and past the shores of Vancouver Island to the upper limit of Baja California - Ling Cod spend their lives as voracious predators in and amongst the intertidal rocky ocean floor to a depth of no more than 100 meters.
Pacific Ling Cod has a lovely slightly sweet flavour, and works in many applications. For the whole side we love to grill it, and serve it with a sun dried tomato sauce!
Available fresh or frozen.
SAFE HANDLING — Keep refrigerated, and use within 3 days for best results. Alternatively, keep frozen until ready to use. Defrost in the refrigerator 8-10 hours before use. Do not defrost at room temperature. Once defrosted, do not refreeze and use within 7 days.
